Tigers
Tigers, a.k.a. songwriter Cory Ames, is an exceptionally artful solo project from Texas making alt/indie/avant-garde pop/rock based on live looping, hardware effects, and emotive lyrics. No computer or DAW is involved, as Tigers wants to make real music in the physical world. Tigers’ latest release, the EP Yeah, So is five songs of brilliantly meaningful and experimental rock music that’s been compared to Suicide, Radiohead, and Animal Collective.
Ames came up in a refinery town in the Texas panhandle on a diet of British rock bands. He’s built on that foundation and developed a highly individualistic style of cutting-edge art rock that couldn’t come from anyone else and lives in a genre all its own.
